Male Support Worker - 40 hours per week
We have a vacancy in our service in North Tyneside, where we support a young man with challenging behaviour and autism. He is non verbal but does understand what is being said and he can communicate via makaton (training provided) and verbal sounds. He is a very loving person that enjoys the simple things in life such as his crispy cake and a trip out for his ice cream.
His family are very important and are an integral part of his life and care.
We are looking for a man with experience who can join his current team, to ensure he lives the best life possible and can be actively involved in his local community.

The preferred candidates will have experience of supporting people with complex needs, though this is not essential as full training will be provided for people with the right attitude and values.
You will work as part of team at all times and support clients accessing our purpose build six bed unit.
People are depending on you so you must be reliable and responsible. You will need to work flexibly over a 7 day period. The role will include evening, weekend and overnight work, both waking and sleeping shifts.
