We are looking for a Trainee Diamond Drilling Operative to join our team at Diamond Drilling Services (SW) Ltd based in Plymouth / Liskeard
This is a great opportunity for someone reliable, hardworking and wanting to learn a specialist trade. Full training will be provided, with the aim of becoming a fully qualified diamond drilling and sawing operative
Role details:
- Full-time position
- 40 hours per week
- Starting rate of £13.75 per hour - with the potential of increasing up to £25 once fully qualified
- Transport provided
- Overtime available, paid at 1.5x
- Site work across the South West
- Training provided
- Minimum 12-month training period before progressing towards NVQ
The role will involve:
- Assisting experienced operatives on site
- Supporting with diamond drilling, sawing, chasing, controlled demolition and other specialist works
- Working on construction sites and private sector projects across the South West
Requirements:
- Full UK driving license
- CSCS Green Labourer card
- Reliable and punctual
- Physically fit and happy with manual work
- Willing to learn and follow instructions
- Good attitude and strong work ethic
- Able to work as part of a team
Experience in construction would be helpful, but it is not essential as training will be provided. Please have a look at our website to get a better understanding of the type of work we do.
