Adult Domestic Abuse Facilitator
Part‑time / Sessional | Brandon & surrounding areas (16 hours pw)

Alumah is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Adult Domestic Abuse Facilitator to deliver the Curve Programme, our integrated Peer Support & Wellbeing Group, and training sessions for professionals and community organisations. This role supports men, women, and LGBTQ+ adults affected by domestic abuse to build understanding, resilience, and long‑term wellbeing through trauma‑informed, relational practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver the Curve Programme (10‑week trauma‑informed course on recovery, boundaries, and healthy relationships)
- Facilitate a monthly Peer Support & Wellbeing Group, including creative and reflective activities (often with Status Creative CIC)
- Deliver domestic abuse awareness and trauma‑informed practice training to professionals, churches, schools, and community groups
- Create safe, supportive group environments and facilitate discussions sensitively and non‑judgementally
- Provide empathic guidance while maintaining professional boundaries
- Maintain accurate records of sessions, attendance, and follow‑up actions
- Uphold safeguarding, confidentiality, and Alumah’s values at all times
Requirements
- Strong listening and group facilitation skills
- Empathy, emotional intelligence, and trauma‑informed practice
- Confident communication and ability to manage group dynamics
- Basic IT skills and ability to deliver online sessions
- Understanding of domestic abuse and recovery (desirable)
- Experience delivering groups or training (desirable)
- Full driving licence (essential)
