Overview
We are seeking a skilled Classic Car Restoration Technician to join our specialised team dedicated to restoring vintage and classic automobiles. Duties
- Disassemble, repair, and reassemble classic vehicles with precision and care
- Interpret technical schematics and blueprints to guide restoration processes
- Conduct mechanical repairs, including engine work, suspension, and braking systems
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out restoration tasks
- Perform welding and fabrication work to restore or modify vehicle components
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts utilised during restorations
- Carry out routine maintenance and equipment repairs to ensure workshop safety and efficiency
- Assist with the sourcing of authentic parts and materials for restorations
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating progress and technical details effectively
Skills
- Strong understanding of parts diagrams, technical drawings, and mechanical principles
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
- Solid mechanical knowledge related to automotive systems and components
- Experience in vehicle maintenance, repair, and equipment repair processes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or equipment
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and workmanship
- Good customer service skills to liaise effectively with clients regarding project updates
- Capable of working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced workshop environment
