Emmaus Gloucestershire is looking for a motivated and values-driven Retail Manager to lead our Cheltenham shop operations while supporting, developing and empowering the companions and volunteers who are part of our community.

About the role
This is a hands-on and varied role where no two days are the same. You will:
- Maximise shop sales and performance
- Manage day-to-day retail operations
- Lead, support and develop companions and volunteers
- Create a positive, inclusive and motivating environment
- Work closely with the wider Emmaus community
- Contribute to the overall success of our social enterprise
You’ll play a key role in ensuring the shop not only performs commercially but also delivers meaningful work experience for those we support.
What we’re looking for
- Previous retail management or supervisory experience (essential)
- Experience in charity retail (desirable)
- A strong team player with the ability to lead, support and empower others
- A belief in people’s potential and the importance of community
- Commitment to Emmaus values, including solidarity and sustainability
- Flexibility to work on a rota basis (5 days out of 7), including weekends
- Ability to share site cover (with the Ecommerce Manager) to ensure community presence 7 days a week
What we offer
- Salary: £26,780
- Holiday: 33 days (including bank holidays) + your birthday off
- Pension: 4% employee / 7.5% employer / 1% HMRC contribution
