Salary: Up to £13.40 per hour, plus gratuities, based on previous experience.
A rare opportunity has arisen where The County Hotel, Chelmsford is looking to recruit an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, to support our Food & Beverage Manager in running the F&B Department, consisting of 15 personnel.
The current incumbent is moving abroad.
The Company
The hotel is a 4 star city-centre 58 bedroom hotel, featuring the award-winning 1 AA Rosette Samphire Restaurant with busy conference and banqueting facilities in the heart of Chelmsford.
The Role
Lead the Food & Beverage team on shifts and partake in Duty Manager shifts.
Assist the Food & Beverage Manager in the running of the department, including a variety of administrative tasks.
Provide guests with all service and assistance connected with their food and beverage experience at the hotel.
Delivering four star service to our guests within the restaurant, bar and conference & banqueting facilities, as well as for our alfresco outdoor dining and room service.
Offering good levels of rapport in our restaurant for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner service.
Setting up function rooms and assisting in hosting a wide range of events at the hotel.
Having natural hospitality charm and a real passion for service.
The ability to communicate effectively with all members of staff and management and paying close attention to detail is imperative.
The shifts for the role of Assistant Food & Beverage Manager will generally include 07:00-12:00, 07:00-15:00, 08:00-16:00, 15:00-23:00 and 12:00-22:30, however alternative shifts may also be required for business needs.
Experience
A minimum of 2 years customer service experience and 2 years hospitality experience. We will consider candidates who are currently a Food & Beverage Supervisor, Restaurant Supervisor, Bar Supervisor or Conference & Banqueting Supervisor, ideally within a hotel setting, but this is not mandatory.
The successful candidate must be 18 years of age or older as they will be serving on the bar independently at times.
This would be the ideal role for an experienced F&B Supervisor within hotels, looking for their next step up.
