We are looking for a reliable hard working team player to join our kitchen team as a Driver/Kitchen Porter
The role is 5 hours per week Monday – Friday, (11.00 am – 12.00 noon)
The post is Term Time only (39 weeks)
Job purpose
To support the hub kitchen catering provision with the delivery of meals to a neighbouring school. The role includes the loading/unloading and subsequent delivery.
It is essential that the appointed person has a full, clean driving licence with a D1
Entitlement and has use of their own vehicle. Fuel costs are included in the daily rate.
Main duties and responsibilities
- To load and unload pre-prepared meals and deliver to a neighbouring school(s).
- Use of their own vehicle to deliver the food.
- Have business insurance on their own vehicle.
- To undertake routine checks of the vehicle (oil, water, fuel etc.) ensuring its suitability for driving prior to all journeys.
- To work in an effective, safe, flexible manner and support the operation of the School.
- Physically active due to nature of the job including heavy lifting and bending.
- Good Geographic knowledge of the area
- Good People and customer service skills
- Any other duties that supports the smooth running of the catering provision.
