Chef de Partie – The Law, North Berwick

We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team at The Law in North Berwick.
The Law is a busy, recently refurbished bar, restaurant and hotel, offering quality freshly prepared food in a relaxed setting. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in what they produce, enjoys working as part of a strong team and can consistently deliver high standards during a busy service.
The Role
As Chef de Partie, you’ll work closely with our Head Chef and wider kitchen team to deliver a consistently high standard of food.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to a high standard
- Running your section confidently during busy services
- Maintaining excellent food quality, presentation and consistency
- Supporting preparation and organisation ahead of service
- Working effectively alongside the rest of the kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene and food safety
- Helping to minimise waste and maintain good stock control
- Supporting junior members of the kitchen team where required
- Contributing ideas and helping us continually improve our food offer
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working as a Chef de Partie or in a similar kitchen role
- Is passionate about good food and hospitality
- Is comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced kitchen
- Takes pride in quality, consistency and presentation
- Is organised and able to work independently when required
- Is a strong team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Is reliable, adaptable and keen to develop
- Understands the importance of food hygiene and kitchen standards
