Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment using hand tools and power tools
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they escalate
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections performed
- Follow all safety protocols and electrical codes to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
- Assist in upgrading existing electrical systems to meet current standards and operational needs
- Respond promptly to emergency electrical issues to minimize downtime and maintain safety standards
Experience
- Proven experience as an Electrician or in a similar electrical role with hands-on work involving wiring, circuit breakers, outlets, and lighting systems
- Proficiency with hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, and voltage testers
- Skilled in operating power tools safely and effectively for various installation tasks
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety regulations, and best practices in electrical maintenance
- Ability to read blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics accurately
- Prior experience working in industrial or commercial environments is preferred but not mandatory
- Certification or licensing as required by local or national electrical authorities is highly advantageous
