Step Into Teaching is working with a friendly Leicester primary school looking for a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team this September.
Whether you've always wanted to become a teacher or you're simply looking for meaningful experience working with children, this could be the perfect opportunity to get started.
Your Day-to-Day
You'll work alongside teachers and support pupils throughout the school day. This could include:
- Supporting learning during whole-class lessons.
- Helping pupils individually or in small groups.
- Supporting reading, writing and maths activities.
- Encouraging children who need a little extra confidence.
- Helping pupils develop independence and positive learning habits.
- Supporting children with SEND and additional needs.
- Helping maintain a positive and welcoming classroom.
- Supporting classroom activities, resources and displays.
- Building positive relationships with pupils.
- Working closely with teachers and wider school staff.
The Graduate We're Looking For
You don't need to have a teaching degree — we're interested in your personality, potential and passion for working with children.
You could be a great fit if you're:

Graduates from any subject are encouraged to apply.
Degrees in Psychology, Education, English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, Sports, Humanities and Social Sciences can be particularly useful.
Experience with children isn't essential, but tutoring, babysitting, childcare, mentoring, coaching, volunteering or youth work experience would be a great advantage.
