Salary:
National Minimum Wage (18+) – in line with current UK government rates between £10.85 and £12.71 max
Working Hours:
Weekend work (9am – 5pm)
Job Purpose:
As a member of the Bar & Kitchen team, you will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service while preparing and serving high-quality food and drinks in a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. You will work closely with the Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the bar and kitchen, maintain high food hygiene standards, and contribute to the continued success of the hospitality operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation & Service
- Prepare and serve food and beverages to a consistently high standard.
- Ensure food is prepared, presented, and served in line with company standards.
- Deliver excellent customer service, creating a welcoming and positive experience for all customers.
- Maintain clean, organised, and well-presented bar, kitchen, and front-of-house areas at all times.
Food Safety & Compliance
- Follow all Food Safety and Hygiene regulations, including Natasha's Law and Environmental Health Officer (EHO) requirements.
- Maintain accurate food safety records, including:
- Food labelling and date coding.
- Cooked food temperature records.
- Fridge and freezer temperature checks.
- Delivery and temperature records.
- Support the Manager in achieving and maintaining a 5-star Food Hygiene Rating.
Stock & Operational Duties
- Inform the Manager when stock requires replenishment.
- Ensure effective stock rotation across fridges, freezers, and dry storage.
- Complete opening and closing procedures for the bar and kitchen in accordance with company procedures.
- Follow all operational processes and procedures consistently.
- Complete cashing-up procedures accurately and securely, ensuring all paperwork is completed and funds are stored appropriately in the Manager's absence.
Teamwork & Continuous Improvement
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a supportive, positive, and inclusive team environment.
- Demonstrate flexibility by undertaking additional duties appropriate to the role and business needs.
- Take pride in your work and the presentation of the venue.

- Knowledge of food safety legislation and best practice.
