The Early Years Department is expanding and is looking for a new part-time member to join our team. The post will include varied teaching across the area, including teaching on the NCFE T-level in Supporting in Teaching Assistant, and other new adult provision, planned to start in 2027. As such, we are looking for a flexible and determined person who is willing to face the challenge of teaching young people and adults returning to education. The team you will be joining is well established and quite diverse. This post is part of a plan to expand the area to meet the needs of the local community and the national need to have qualified early practitioners.
You should have the following:
-
Level 3 Qualification in Early Years or Childcare (or equivalent)
- Level 2 minimum in Maths and English (GCSE Grade C or above, GCSE Grade 4 or above or equivalent).
- Full teaching qualification at Level 5 or above, or willingness to work towards one (training support available)
- Significant and recent work experience in Early Years/Childcare
Applicants will be required to hold a full teaching qualification at Level 5 or above or be willing to work towards obtaining one. If you do not hold a suitable teaching qualification, the College will support you to obtain this as part of our investment in your professional development
Higher level qualifications in Education or Early Years would be a distinct advantage. While experience of teaching in further education with a teaching qualification is also an advantage, we welcome applications from those still currently in practice in Early Years and looking to make a change into teaching the subject.
For more details, please take a look at the role description. We'll still consider applications even if you don't meet every single one of the requirements, so don't be put off if you don't match them perfectly.
Interview date: 10 September 2026
