We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Sales Negotiator to join our residential sales team in Beverley.
Dee Atkinson & Harrison is a long-established independent firm of estate agents and chartered surveyors, with a history dating back to 1885. We combine traditional personal service and strong local knowledge with a modern approach to selling property.
This is not a trainee position. We are looking for someone with at least one year's experience working within an estate agency who understands the sales process and is ready to make a positive contribution from the outset.
For someone with the right experience and ambition, there will also be an opportunity to undertake market appraisals, or to develop their skills as a sales valuer. This offers scope for the successful applicant to broaden their role and progress beyond a traditional Sales Negotiator position.
The role
Working alongside our Branch Manager and the rest of the Beverley team, your responsibilities will include:
- Registering and qualifying buyers
- Matching applicants to suitable properties
- Arranging and carrying out accompanied viewings
- Negotiating offers between buyers and sellers
- Providing regular, meaningful feedback to vendors
- Following up valuations and generating new business opportunities
- Progressing agreed sales through to exchange and completion
- Liaising with buyers, sellers, solicitors and other agents throughout the transaction
- Maintaining accurate CRM records
- Helping the team achieve its sales and income targets
- Delivering the high standard of personal service our clients expect
About you
To be considered for this position you must have:
- At least 1 year's experience working in estate agency
- A full UK driving licence and access to a car for work
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- A confident and professional manner with buyers and sellers
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy workload
- A proactive approach to generating and progressing sales
- A genuine commitment to excellent customer service
We are looking for someone who enjoys estate agency, likes dealing with people and takes satisfaction from turning an enquiry into a successful completed sale.
Salary and commission
The basic salary is £27,500 per annum plus performance-related commission.
Realistic total earnings are approximately £29,500 to £30,000+, with the opportunity to earn more as individual and branch performance grows.
We believe in rewarding success and our commission structure provides additional earnings based on completed sales and the fees they generate.
Working hours
Normal working hours, excluding lunch breaks, are Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.30pm, plus one Saturday in every two on a rota basis.
Current Saturday office opening hours are 9.00am to 1.00pm. Occasionally, Saturday working may need to extend to as late as 4.00pm to accommodate accompanied viewings or other appointments.
All Saturday hours worked accrue equivalent time off in lieu during the working week, arranged to suit office staffing and workload.
