Matthews (Sussex) Ltd requires a full time Yard Operative/Workshop Assistant to join our busy transport company. Based in Three Bridges, Crawley our yard services various demolition sites and our fleet of over 30 HGV’s and cars/vans.
Your duties will include:
- keeping the yard clean, tidy and well organised
- loading/unloading lorries
- driving our forklift
- unloading delivery vehicles
- assisting with duties in the workshop
- working under our Workshop Manager
- doing deliveries to our local sites
You will need to:
- have a good positive attitude
- be reliable, enthusiastic and trustworthy
- be ready to do whatever needs doing
- enjoy working as part of a team
- be able to work as an individual
- be happy to work outside in all weathers
- have a full and valid driving licence
- have a good knowledge of the local area around Crawley and Horsham
