Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support our operations, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely. This role requires a hands-on approach, with an emphasis on the use of power tools and hand tools, as well as a basic understanding of electrical systems.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain various power tools and hand tools to complete assigned tasks.
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems as needed.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to specifications.
- Perform general labour duties such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, ensuring tools and equipment are stored properly.
- Report any issues or concerns to the supervisor promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a labour-intensive role is preferred but not essential.
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent physical fitness, with the ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- A proactive attitude towards health and safety practices on site.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
