Job Role: Facilities lettings and Maintenance Assistant (includes some weekend working on a rota basis for ad hoc lettings)

Hours of Work: 17 hours per week - days and times dependent on lettings
Rate: MNSP Grade 5 SCP 11 - 7 £12,930 - £14,253 (Actual salary for this role)
Purpose of the role
- To proactively assist with the delivery of the Facilities lettings.
- To manage the SchoolHire bookings website & keep in regular contact with customers.
- To open and close the school for all weekend bookings.
- Pro-actively advertise the lettings to the local community to increase bookings.
Principal Accountabilities and Standards
Working as part of a team to:
● Ensure Notton House Academy is operational
● Secure all buildings and the site itself as required
● Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness on Notton House Academy ●Keep storage facilities and plant rooms well organised
● Provide general portage duties to meet deadlines
● Comply with and promote good health and safety procedures with customers. ● Provide a responsive and professional customer service
● Keep customers informed and contact prior to each booking.
● Report any building and maintenance issues
● Assist the Site Team with the undertaking of:
o general repair and maintenance work
● Positively and professionally represent Midsomer Norton Schools’ Partnership at all times
Main Duties
● To be a named key holder for Notton House Academy and being responsible for the security of all buildings and the campus itself
● Lock/unlock Notton House Academy buildings for evening/weekend activities, events and functions throughout the site as required
● Set and unset Notton House Academy security systems and to respond, where necessary, to emergency call outs.
● Report all building, fixtures, fittings and maintenance issues/defects across Notton House Academy site to the Site Manager.
● Manage traffic in and out of Notton House Academy at times of high volume
● Undertake other duties where necessary and time allowing - this may include sweeping paths ,Litter collections Graffiti removal, Paint touch up
● Clean up after any self-work activity
● Use safe methods of working at all times
● Provide an adverse weather response, grit paths and clear snow
● Where necessary escort building contractors and service engineers around the buildings and campus, supporting as required.
● To provide the Site Manager with engineers’ worksheets or supplier delivery notes and to bring to the attention of the Site Supervisor any abnormalities or additional works required as raised by subcontractors
● Use electronic devices to communicate (e.g., pagers and two-way radios, email)
General:

● To attend training courses as directed by the Site Manager
● To play an active part in the life of the school, sharing the aims and objectives of the Trust

● To carry out other duties as are required and as are commensurate with the grade of this post.
