At N-Compass, we believe every young carer deserves the chance to thrive, not just cope. We’re looking for a compassionate and proactive Young Carers Support Worker to join our Warrington team, supporting children and young people who care for someone at home.
This is more than a role, it’s an opportunity to create meaningful change in young lives, working alongside a team that genuinely cares.
You’ll work directly with young carers (aged 5–18), providing tailored support, advocacy and opportunities to connect with others who share similar experiences. Your work will include:
-
Delivering one-to-one support and group sessions
-
Identifying needs and developing support plans
-
Working closely with families, schools and partner agencies
-
Helping young carers access opportunities, build confidence and improve wellbeing
At N-Compass, we put people first, always, through the communities we serve and the colleagues we work alongside. If you join our team, you can expect:
-
A supportive, inclusive and values-led culture
-
A genuine focus on wellbeing, kindness and psychological safety
-
Leaders who are visible, approachable and invested in your development
-
A team that celebrates impact, collaboration and continuous learning
We don’t just talk about culture, we live it.
About you
You don’t need to tick every box, but you’ll likely bring:
-
Passion for supporting children and young people
Experience in health, social care, education or the voluntary sector, through employment or lived experience
-
Confidence in having meaningful, sometimes sensitive conversations
-
A values‑based, empathetic approach and commitment to carers’ rights and wellbeing
-
The ability to balance autonomy with accountability
-
Strong organisational skills and accurate record‑keeping
Most importantly, you care deeply about people and believe support should be human, not transactional.
We are proud of the culture we’re continuing to build. People who join N‑Compass stay because:
- We lead with values, kindness, integrity and respect sit at the heart of everything we do
- You’re trusted to use your professional judgement, no micromanagement
- Learning and development matter, we invest in your growth and confidence
- Flexibility is real, we understand life doesn’t stop at work
- You’ll be supported, not isolated, reflective supervision, supportive managers and a genuinely collaborative team
- Your work has visible impact, carers tell us what difference our support makes
We’re committed to being a great place to work, where people feel safe to speak up, bring their whole selves to work and grow with us.
N‑Compass is proud to be an inclusive employer. We welcome applications from all sections of the community and are committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels they belong. If you require any adjustments to participate in the selection process, please contact a member of our People Services Team - [email protected].
