People & Culture Lead / Head of P&C / Head of HR
Role Description The People & Culture Lead for my client is to be based in Woking, with flexibility for part-time work. This role is responsible for shaping and implementing people strategies that support my client's growth, culture, and high-performance environment. Day-to-day, the People & Culture Lead will design and maintain HR policies, oversee the employee lifecycle, and support managers with performance, development, and engagement initiatives. The role includes leading culture-building programs, driving diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, and coordinating learning and development activities for a highly specialized consulting team. The People & Culture Lead will also partner closely with leadership to provide data-driven people insights, manage HR operations and compliance, and contribute to employer branding and talent attraction initiatives.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in People & Culture, HR business partnering, or HR generalist roles, including experience with employee relations, performance management, and organizational development.
- Strong skills in talent management and development, including designing learning and development programs, career frameworks, and succession planning aligned with business strategy.
- Experience in shaping culture and engagement initiatives, with a focus on building inclusive, collaborative, and high-performance environments in professional services or technology-related settings.
- Proficiency in HR operations and compliance, including policies, procedures, HR systems, and data-driven reporting to inform leadership decisions.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and coach leaders and team members at all levels.
- Proven ability to work in a hybrid setting, managing priorities across in-office and remote environments, and maintaining confidentiality and professional integrity.
- Experience in or strong interest in technology, consulting, or talent-focused businesses; prior work in scaling organizations or start-up/scale-up environments is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience; CIPD or similar HR qualification is a plus.
Pay: Up to £80,000.00 per year
