Part - Time Book keeper

We design, plan, construct, connect and install utility-scale solar and energy storage projects for clients and investors in the UK and internationally.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to manage the company's day-to-day financial records. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial data, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting the preparation of financial reports. This role requires strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and maintain accurate financial transactions.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare and submit VAT, sales tax, or other statutory returns as required.
- Process payroll or liaise with payroll providers. Some HR Experience will also be desirable.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate coding of transactions.
- Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting activities.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and management accounts.
- Support the preparation of year-end accounts and external audits.
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations.
- Assist with financial analysis and administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Diploma, certificate, or degree in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping, or a related field (preferred).
- Professional bookkeeping certification is an advantage.
- Proven experience in a bookkeeping or accounting support role.
Skills and Experience
Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounting practices. 5 Years plus experience
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions
Part-time position but could become full time.
- Office-based.
- Standard business hours with occasional flexibility during month-end or year-end reporting periods.

Pay: £26,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
