Hours
- 42 hours per week
- Full-time working a 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off shift rotation
- Predictable "4-on, 4-off" shift patterns (including days, nights, and weekends)
The role of Security Officer:
- Gatehouse duties
- Access Controls
- Site patrols on foot and using a vehicle
- Control Room duties
- Incident response
- Maintenance of records and logs
- Conducting high-vigilance internal and external patrols to ensure the integrity of the site
- Managing complex access control for staff, contractors, and visitors in line with strict regulatory standards
- Respond to incidents with precision and teamwork following elite standards
- Serve as a professional ambassador for both G4S and our client, delivering service excellence at all times
- Handling a wide variety of situations - you might be handling a medical emergency one day and demonstrating a contingency exercise to a regulator the next
- Continuously focused on providing excellent service to our customers by being efficient, flexible and security conscious at all times
The ideal Security Officer:
- Someone who cares about security, has excellent attention to detail, appreciates that risk exists and is vigilant enough to spot it and take relevant actions, quickly and professionally, to deal with it
- Communicate confidently at all levels in both written and spoken English
- Follow specific procedures and instructions accurately
- Have experience in utilising IT and computer systems efficiently
- Undertake shift work flexibly as required
- Must hold a valid SIA licence (either a Door Supervisor or Security Guarding licence). SIA training can be provided to a suitable candidate
- Must hold a full UK Manual Driving Licence
- Must have lived in the UK for a minimum of 5 years due to enhanced security screening and be able to prove a 5-year checkable work history and provide character references
- Must be over the age of 18 to apply for this role
- Previous experience is not essential, as we'll support the right candidate with training
