Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Drive a 3.5-tonne tipper van safely and responsibly.
- Collect waste from customers' homes, businesses and building sites.
- Load and unload waste, including some heavy and bulky items.
- Secure loads correctly and ensure the vehicle is safe before driving.
- Follow collection instructions and use the company's job-management system.
- Complete waste transfer documentation when required.
- Provide friendly and professional service to customers.
- Keep the vehicle clean and report any problems or damage.
- Follow all company health and safety and waste-handling procedures.
Experience / Requirements
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience driving a 3.5-tonne vehicle is preferred.
- Previous waste removal, collection, delivery, construction or similar physical work is an advantage.
- Comfortable with manual lifting and physical work.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- No previous waste industry experience is essential — training will be provided for the right person.
