Mott MacDonald Bentley are recruiting for a Health Safety and Wellbeing Manager to join the Anglian Water @One Alliance.

As HSW Manager, you'll be a visible leader across our projects, helping shape a culture where everyone takes ownership of health, safety, wellbeing and environmental performance. You'll work alongside delivery teams from design through to construction and commissioning, ensuring our Safer Every Day culture is embedded across everything we do.
Working closely with the Head of SHE, Delivery Directors and senior leaders across the Alliance, you'll influence decision making, coach teams, support innovation and ensure our ambitious programme is delivered safely, sustainably and responsibly.
What you’ll be doing:

Lead the implementation of our Health, Safety, Environment and Wellbeing (SHEW) strategy across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects.

Provide expert advice and coaching to project teams, managers and senior leaders on all aspects of health, safety, wellbeing and environmental management.

Spend time on site building relationships, engaging with teams and leading by example to promote positive safety behaviours.

Support projects throughout design, construction and commissioning, ensuring risks are identified early and managed effectively.

Plan and coordinate HSW resources across the programme, ensuring projects receive the right level of support at every stage.

Deliver site inspections, audits, assurance activities and performance reviews, identifying opportunities for continual improvement.

Champion mental health, wellbeing and behavioural safety initiatives, helping create a culture where people feel supported to speak up.

Build collaborative relationships with Alliance partners, subcontractors and suppliers to drive consistent standards and share best practice.

Support the adoption of digital tools and data-driven insights to improve health, safety and environmental performance.

Promote innovation, continuous learning and inclusive ways of working across the Alliance.
What you’ll bring:
-
Previous Health & Safety experience within construction, utilities or major infrastructure programmes.

NEBOSH Construction Certificate.

TechIOSH membership or above (working towards Chartered membership is desirable).

Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and best practice.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to influence senior leaders and operational teams alike.

Experience undertaking audits, inspections, investigations and coaching teams to improve performance.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
