Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems and be proficient in the use of both power and hand tools. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine the necessary repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Use power tools and hand tools to complete repairs and installations effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working in the workshop or on-site.
- Keep the work area clean and organised, ensuring all tools are returned to their proper places after use.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in using power tools such as drills, saws, and grinders safely and effectively.
- Experience with hand tools including wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers is essential.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills to effectively liaise with colleagues and clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
