- Develop quality and traceability systems.
- Lead improvement projects using technology and automation.
- Support operational teams in achieving customer delivery targets.
- Progress towards departmental leadership responsibility.
What You'll Be Doing
You will work closely with warehouse, production, engineering and management teams to:
✅ Understand and manage inventory systems.
✅ Develop barcode scanning and stock control processes.
✅ Improve warehouse layout, material flow and efficiency.
✅ Plan component requirements using the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
✅ Purchase materials and components from suppliers.
✅ Monitor supplier delivery and quality performance.
✅ Implement traceability systems including material certification control.
✅ Improve stock accuracy and eliminate waste.
✅ Support quality checks before components are released to production.
✅ Identify opportunities for automation, digitisation and process improvement.
✅ Learn how laser cutting, press brake and fabrication operations support the supply chain.
✅ Develop the leadership skills required to manage a department in the future.
