Play Scheme Worker
Superstars is seeking two enthusiastic individuals to run play schemes for children aged 5-13years throughout the summer holidays.
Job Type:
· Self-employed basis
· DBS required (updated of three years)
· If you do not have a valid DBS, Superstars can organise one for you. Please note £50 will be deducted from your wage for this DBS, however, after 10 shifts at Superstars, you will be reimbursed the £50.
· A driving licenses is advantageous but not a requirement.
Job Role:
· Each day you will be running a sports activity (e.g., football, dance, multi sports)
· You will be responsible for structuring and delivering fun, engaging sport activates and games to the children.
· Each day you will be running a board game session (we offer an array of board games for the children to play with)
· Each day you will also run either a crafts session or Lego session.
· Crafts and Lego sessions will alternate weekly e.g., week one will be Lego all week, and week two will be crafts all week etc.
· During craft sessions you will oversee children making things such as bracelets, keyrings, rock art, decorating a hessian bag etc.
· During Lego sessions you will oversee children making their own Lego creations and deliver challenges for the children to complete, e.g., building something using 20 Lego pieces.
Job Responsibilities:
✔ Comfortable and competent working with children.
✔ Prior experience working with children is beneficial but not a requirement.
✔ Enthusiastic, patient, and willing to engage in hands-on activities.
✔ Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with the children but also with staff members.
Job Location
· Tim Parry Community Centre WA5 3NY
Scheduled Shifts:
· 21st July to the 1st August (excluding weekends and bank holidays)
· 09:15am-12:30pm (children will arrive between 09:30-09:45am only)

· Thursday 10th July 2025: Morning slot 10:00-12:00 or afternoon slot 16:00-18:00
