We're a warm, welcoming, and well-established pub at the heart of the local community – and we’re looking for a dedicated Assistant Pub Manager to help lead our team.
Whether it’s pulling the perfect pint, creating a welcoming atmosphere, or helping manage day-to-day operations, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who’s passionate about hospitality and ready to take the next step in their pub management career.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting the General Manager in the daily running of the pub
- Leading and motivating the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional service
- Ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance
- Managing stock levels, deliveries, and cellar operations
- Assisting with staff training, scheduling, and performance
- Helping with cash handling, banking, and financial reporting
- Stepping up to cover the GM role in their absence
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant manager role in hospitality
- A hands-on, customer-first attitude
- Ability to lead a team by example
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A good understanding of pub operations (cellar management, health & safety, licensing laws)
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Personal Licence (preferred but not essential – training can be provided)
