Are you an experienced Litigation Solicitor with 5+ years' PQE and a strong interest in Residential Property Litigation?
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing litigation team in Farnham, taking responsibility for a varied caseload with a particular focus on landlord and tenant disputes, possession proceedings and rent arrears recovery.
The role would suit a confident litigator who enjoys client contact, is comfortable taking ownership of matters and wants to develop their career within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The Role
You will manage your own caseload from initial instruction through to resolution, providing practical and commercially focused advice to a broad range of clients.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a varied caseload of civil litigation matters
- Handling residential landlord and tenant disputes
- Advising on standard and accelerated possession proceedings
- Dealing with rent arrears recovery and enforcement action
- Handling tenancy breaches and wider residential property disputes
- Advising clients on litigation strategy and potential outcomes
- Preparing cases for hearings and representing clients where appropriate
- Instructing and working closely with counsel where required
- Drafting pleadings, applications, correspondence and other legal documentation
- Maintaining strong and effective client relationships
- Managing deadlines and progressing matters efficiently
- Supporting and supervising junior team members and paralegals where appropriate
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a proactive and commercially minded litigator who has strong experience in residential property-related disputes.
You will ideally have:
- 5+ years' PQE as a Solicitor or equivalent experience
- Strong litigation experience with a residential property focus
- Proven experience handling possession proceedings and rent arrears recovery
- Excellent case management and organisational skills
- Strong advocacy and communication abilities
- Excellent client care skills
- Confidence managing your own caseload independently
- Commercial awareness and a practical, solutions-focused approach
- Ability and willingness to support and supervise junior colleagues
