Fleet and Facilities Maintenance Supervisor.
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Van Maintenance Engineer to support our fleet of vehicles and organise the maintenance operations within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge including qualification and be proficient in the use of hand and power tools. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure that all vehicles, equipment and systems are functioning optimally, contributing to a safe and efficient working environment.
Responsibilities
Carry out non-warranty vehicle maintenance
Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff, ensuring effective scheduling and task delegation.
Conduct regular inspections of vehicles and equipment, facilities and machinery to identify issues and implement timely repairs.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and inventory of tools, equipment and supplies.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance programmes to minimise vehicle and equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety among the maintenance team.
Train new staff on vehicle safety and maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and proper use of tools and equipment.
Collaborate with other departments to support operational needs and resolve any maintenance-related issues.
Experience
Strong vehicle mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand and power tools.
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to maintenance operations.
Strong communication skills, capable of leading a team while fostering a positive work environment.
