Client Financial Lead (CFL) – Remote Role

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Client Financial Lead (CFL) to join our team.
We provide financial management services to vulnerable adults, ensuring their money is safeguarded, bills are paid, and finances are managed in their best interests.
This is a fully remote role with very occasional client visits when required.
The Role
This is a senior, hands-on role responsible for managing client finances and ensuring high-quality outcomes across a portfolio of clients.
You will work alongside a small number of Client Financial Coordinators (CFCs), overseeing the delivery and quality of their work, while retaining full responsibility for financial decisions and client outcomes.
This is not a people management role — your focus is on financial control, decision-making, and ensuring work is completed correctly.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for client financial management and decisions
- Set and manage client budgets and financial plans
- Review and oversee work completed by Client Financial Coordinators
- Ensure all client work is accurate, complete, and on time
- Approve financial requests outside standard instructions
- Maximise client benefits and complete relevant claims
- Manage financial shortfalls and debt arrangements
- Handle safeguarding and mental capacity concerns
- Deal with complex queries from professionals, families, and agencies
- Maintain clear, accurate, and auditable records
- Track outstanding work and ensure completion
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in appointeeship, deputyship, or client finance
- Strong knowledge of DWP benefits and funding
- Confident decision-maker with good judgement
- Strong attention to detail – accuracy is essential
- Excellent communication skills
- Good Microsoft Office and IT skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workload remotely
