Purchasing Assistant – GS Catering Equipment Ltd
GS Catering Equipment Ltd, an award‑winning commercial catering equipment specialist based in Paignton, Devon, is expanding and seeking an experienced full‑time Purchasing Assistant to join our busy purchasing team.
In this role, you will support the Purchasing Manager with the administration of purchase orders and the coordination of deliveries for post‑contract projects.
About You
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in purchasing and delivery coordination, along with strong written and verbal communication skills. You should be confident using Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word, and able to work accurately when producing documents and checking your own work.
You must be comfortable communicating with people at all levels, both internally and externally, and able to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently. Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Placing supplier orders and arranging deliveries to site
- Creating purchase orders using the Eque2 system
- Producing professional documents and correspondence
- Liaising with customers and suppliers by phone and email to provide updates
- Supporting warehouse operations, including receiving deliveries
- Maintaining accurate records, systems and client files
- General administrative duties as required
Hours & Flexibility
This is a full‑time role (37.5 hours per week), Monday to Friday, between 8:30am and 5:00pm, with an immediate start available.
