What you’ll be doing
We are seeking highly motivated, passionate Food Safety Officers to join us. Successful candidates will be responsible for undertaking inspections and investigations and taking enforcement action where there is non-compliance across a range of food hygiene and standards legislation.
What you will be able to demonstrate on your application
- Possess the Higher Certificate in Food Control to deliver food hygiene and food standards official controls.
- Full driving license and access to a vehicle.
- Knowledge and practical experience in the enforcement of legislation including drafting and serving notices, collection of evidence, writing witness statements and preparing prosecution files.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents, businesses, colleagues and partner agencies.
- An ability to produce clear, concise written reports and correspondence
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Competence in IT systems including Microsoft Office applications
