We’re excited to be bringing the spirit of Barcelona to Mere Green and are looking for a warm, engaging, and hands-on Deputy General Manager to support the launch and day-to-day running of our new Baresca.
This is a key leadership role within the business, ideal for a natural people person who thrives in a busy hospitality environment and leads with positivity, ownership, kindness, and teamwork. You will work closely with the General Manager to build a strong and happy team culture, deliver heartfelt hospitality, and help establish Baresca as a well-loved local restaurant & bar from day one.

The Role:
-
Support the general manager in the opening and day-to-day running of the restaurant & bar

Lead from the floor during service, ensuring a warm, efficient, and high-quality guest experience

Support the General Manager in recruiting, training, and developing a high-performing team
-
Maintain consistently high standards of service, presentation, cleanliness, and atmosphere

Take responsibility for smooth daily operations in the General Manager’s absence

Support opening and closing procedures and ensure all operational standards are met

Assist the General Manager in overseeing events, private bookings, and group reservations

Proven leadership experience in hospitality, ideally in a busy restaurant & bar environment

Let’s break the package down:

£33,000 base salary
-
Up to £2,000 achievable performance bonus
-
Service charge average split: £9,000
£33,000 + £2,000 + £9,000 = up to £44,000 OTE
