Overview:
Join our dynamic team and help shape children’s futures. Work for Play and Learn Scheme (PALS), providing an enriching, safe and nurturing experience for children aged 4-11.
This post is available from September 2026, 25 hours per week Monday to Friday. Working term time between the hours of 7:00am-6pm, hours include breakfast and afterschool club working on site and admin duties outside of session times.
Main Duties
- Directing a team of highly skilled playworkers
- To provide a safe and welcoming environment for children, parents and carers
- Be reliable and punctual and work as part of a team
- To provide the highest standards of childcare and excellent levels of customer service at all times
- Ensure the children are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment.
- To understand fully and adhere to the company’s policies and procedures at all times
- To demonstrate current knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
- To understand the legal safeguarding requirements for a group/ school setting and that you have a duty to act accordingly & report any concerns
- To ensure the smooth running of the club including supervision/ deployment of staff
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children, preferably in an educational or play work setting
- Knowledge of first aid practices, desirable paediatric first aid certificate
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience of working with children who may have different learning styles or SEND
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
A current DBS or new DBS will be required.
Driving Licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
