Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced dog groomer to join our professional pet care team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the skills necessary to deliver high-quality grooming services. Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and drying of dogs according to breed standards and customer preferences
- Assess each dog's coat condition and recommend appropriate grooming treatments or maintenance routines
- Handle dogs safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of grooming tools and work area
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding grooming needs and aftercare advice
- Assist with animal care duties as required
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times during grooming procedures
Qualifications
- Level 3 with Proven experience as a dog groomer with a strong portfolio of completed work
- Excellent animal care skills with a gentle, patient approach towards pets
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting large dogs or equipment)
- Organised with attention to detail to ensure high standards of grooming are maintained consistently
- Relevant certifications or training in pet grooming or animal care are desirable but not essential
