Job Overview
We are looking to appoint an experienced tutor who will deliver tuition/intervention sessions within a classroom setting and/or online. This could be on a one to one basis or in groups, up to 1:6
Duties
- To deliver bespoke tuition based upon your subject with the aim of filling any perceived gaps in learning as identified by the school.
- To work with small groups that have been allocated by the company.
- Establish good working relationships with students.
- Responsible for working with small groups or individuals within an after school setting or school setting, face to face or online.
- Responsible for assessing and reporting the child’s progress at key milestones
- Work flexibly, providing engaging, targeted tuition that supports students achievement and progress
- Responsible for liaising with your Principal Director regarding attendance and engagement of pupils.
- There is no expectation that you will deliver any school related duties. Your role is specifically tutoring.
Experience
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching Science at KS3/4 levels
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children and young learners in an educational setting
- Experience working with students who have special educational needs or require additional support is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills to clearly explain mathematical concepts and motivate students
- Familiarity with curriculum standards for KS3/4 mathematics and assessment methods
