We are seeking a skilled and qualified Maintenance Electrician to join our client’s dedicated team.
Job Purpose
You will ensure maximum uptime and safety of the production facility by carrying out routine planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and rapid breakdown repairs on a wide variety of plant and machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled electrical maintenance and routine testing across the factory.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on complex production machinery swiftly to minimise downtime.
- Maintain and service specialist CNC-controlled woodworking machinery.
- Service and repair traditional woodworking equipment including bandsaws, dim saws, and panel saws.
- Troubleshoot and maintain automated conveyor systems and general plant machinery.
- Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations and health and safety standards.
- Assist with machinery installations, upgrades, and modifications when required.
Requirements
- Fully qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering/Installation).
- Proven experience working as a Maintenance Electrician within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Direct experience troubleshooting CNC-controlled machinery is essential.
- Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, including woodworking equipment (panel saws, bandsaws) and conveyor networks.
- Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to preventative maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Working hours
7.30am - 4.30pm Monday - Thursday (30 minutes lunch break)
7.30am - 12.30pm Friday
