Job Summary
We're looking for a friendly, genuine and down to earth person to join our team at Moy Lighting.
This is a customer facing role in our lighting showroom, where you'll help customers find the right lighting for their needs and provide the warm, personal service we're known for.
We're a small, close knit team, so finding the right person is really important to us. We're looking for someone approachable, reliable and positive, who enjoys talking to people, takes pride in their work and treats customers and colleagues with care and respect.
Experience is helpful but not essential. You don't need to be an expert in lighting, we'll teach you everything you need to know. What matters most to us is your attitude, how you work with others and the way you make customers feel.
Duties
- Welcome customers to the showroom and provide friendly, helpful service.
- Provide product advice and process customer orders accurately.
- Liaise with customers in person and by phone, including following up on enquiries and orders.
- Learn our lighting ranges and develop strong product knowledge, with full training provided.
- Arrange and refresh showroom displays and help keep the showroom well presented.
- Check incoming deliveries and assist with stock and general warehouse duties.
- Take part in the team cleaning rota and general showroom upkeep.
- Work collaboratively as part of the wider team and undertake other reasonable duties as required to support the day to day running of the business.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in sales,retail or customer service would be beneficial, but not essential.
- Confident and comfortable communicating with customers both in person and over the phone.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- An interest in lighting, interiors or home design would be an advantage.
- No previous lighting experience is required - full product training will be provided.
Hours & Working Pattern
- Full time, permanent position - 37.5 hours per week.
- 9:30am - 5.30pm, five days per week.
- Saturday working is an essential requirement of the role, except when taking agreed annual leave.
- The showroom is closed on Sundays.
- One day off will be provided during the working week, to be agreed with the employer.
