Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Carpenter to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the carpentry trade while working under the guidance of skilled professionals. The Carpenter Apprentice will assist in various construction projects, learning essential skills and techniques in fabrication, assembly, and general carpentry practices.
Duties
- Assist in the fabrication and assembly of wooden structures and fixtures.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks.
- Support experienced carpenters in joinery, roofing, and other carpentry-related activities.
- Participate in heavy lifting and moving materials as required on-site.
- Aid in construction painting, ensuring high-quality finishes on projects.
- Assist with plumbing, masonry, and electrical tasks as needed, gaining exposure to various aspects of construction.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Qualifications
- A keen interest in carpentry and construction with a willingness to learn.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in carpentry.
- Experience or familiarity with fabrication, assembly, joinery, roofing, plumbing, masonry, or electrical work is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required on-site.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship.
