We are seeking a reliable and experienced driver to join our team. The driver must have held their C licence for no less than 2 years if under 25 or 1 year if over 25. As a Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials from our site to local businesses within our postcode, and collecting pallets back to our yard within and around this area. This is a great opportunity for individuals with excellent driving skills and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods and materials to designated locations
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and secure packaging
- Plan routes and follow schedules to ensure timely deliveries
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Communicate with dispatchers or supervisors regarding any delays or issues
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times
- Use job specific phone applications for completing deliveries and completing vehicle checks
- Provide exceptional customer service by being professional, courteous, and helpful
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous experience as a multidrop delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards
- Ability to operate HGV category C vehicle unit up to 26t
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
