The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Director to lead and oversee Care Services within a dedicated organisation committed to safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
This position is currently being offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.
The main responsibilities include deputising for the Assistant Chief Executive, promoting best practices, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, and leading strategic development of care services to support continuous improvement and organisational growth.
The successful candidate will have line management responsibility for Heads of Service, oversee quality monitoring processes, and work collaboratively to create a safe, nurturing environment for all service users.
About You:
The ideal applicant will possess substantial management experience within regulated children’s services or supported accommodation settings.
You will demonstrate strong leadership and strategic planning abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of service users.
You should be able to work calmly under pressure, develop effective professional relationships, and influence positive organisational change.
You will have your Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, or be willing to work towards this.
