We are looking for a responsible and reliable full-time employee to work at our base which is currently in L5. The successful candidate will, amongst other duties, be responsible for:
Cutting up, grinding & drilling steel for the on-site welders to manufacture railings and gates.
Loading & unloading lorries - manually and with a forklift truck.
Readying orders for loading for delivery to site.
Candidates with a full, clean UK driving license will have an advantage.
The role requires the use of different steel-working machinery (drill, bandsaw, grinding belt, angle grinder). It is not essential to have prior experience as all necessary training will be provided but it may stand a candidate in good stead should they be able to display a previous knowledge or experience of working with such machines.
There is scope to learn new skills, such as welding, giving the opportunity for promotion and increased earning potential.
Due to the physical and potentially dangerous nature of this type of manufacturing, the successful candidate will be a responsible and physically fit individual.
The successful candidate will join an existing team of welders/fabricators in a busy manufacturing shop where teamwork is essential.
