For over 100 years, we have provided care for extraordinary ex-servicemen and women of varying ages and needs, from those who served in WW2 to those who more recently served in Iraq and Afghanistan.

You will be a part of our multi-disciplinary; and enthusiastic team to provide a variety of care for our veterans including holistic services, dementia care, general nursing and residential needs in our state-of-the-art care home in Salford, Greater Manchester.

About the role
We are seeking permanent care assistants to work on days, 38.5hrs per week, 12 hour shifts, 2 week rolling rota: 4 days one week/3 days following week and alternative weekends off. Fixed shift pattern available.
Hours 07:30 - 1930 (includes 1 hour unpaid break)

· To ensure that at all times residents are treated with respect and dignity and that individuals rights to privacy, independance and choice are met with kindness and compassion.
· Work as an integrated member of a multi-disciplinary care team , delivering high quality personal care to all residents according to their needs and expectations
· Support all individual aspects of resident care and wellbeingh in line with care plans
· Actively promote and encourage as much personnel independence and choice as possible in the activities of daily living undertaken by the residents within Broughton House.
· Actively participate in and promote the wellbeing activities and outings of the Home's programme and enable residents to safely take part in activities of their choice.ome and promote
Maintain accurate digital records of residents care in compliance with organisational policies and data protection practice.
Communicate effectively with colleagues, visiting healthcare professionals, residents and families ensuring that any information exchanged is accurate, relevant and appropriate
About you
Calm and caring with a positive outlook and keen give of your best
Previous experience working in health and/or social care
Possess a high standard of spoken and written English
Good IT skills.
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Organised with good time management skill
A team player, but able to work independently following verbal or written instructions
Physically fit and able to carry out the duties of the role
Have an empathy with the military community,
