Based in Glossop, our modern, purpose-built dealership features a spacious showroom, six fully equipped workshop bays, and an on-site MOT testing facility. We typically stock over 60 carefully selected used vehicles and continue to grow through repeat business and customer recommendations.
As our business expands, we are looking for an experienced Senior Diagnostic Technician / Master Technician to join our professional workshop team.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled automotive technician who enjoys diagnosing and resolving complex vehicle faults. Working in our modern workshop, you will be responsible for advanced diagnostics, repairs, quality control, and supporting the development of other technicians.
You'll play a key role in maintaining our high standards of workmanship while helping to ensure every vehicle leaves our workshop to the highest possible standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out advanced diagnostics on a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.
- Use manufacturer and aftermarket diagnostic equipment effectively.
- Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians.
- Carry out quality control checks on completed workshop jobs.
- Ensure all work complies with company procedures and health & safety standards.
- Maintain accurate job records and communicate effectively with the Service Team where required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience as a Senior Technician, Master Technician or Diagnostic Technician.
- Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding abilities across mechanical and electrical systems.
- NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
- Strong experience using modern vehicle diagnostic equipment.
- A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A full UK driving licence with no more than six penalty points.
