The Role of Wedding & Events Co-Ordinator
The Wedding & Events Co-Ordinator will be responsible for being both pro-active and reactive in promoting and selling the space to achieve revenue budgets.
The Meeting & Events Co-Ordinator will be responsible for co-ordinating and maximising conference, event and wedding enquiries and bookings. Maintaining regular contact with clients regarding enquiries for conferences and events by telephone, e-mail and in person.
You will forge strong working relationships with clients and potential clients to ensure great service delivery at all events & effectively manage the diary to maximise revenue. You can have a lasting impact on making memories and creating the most special of days so attention to detail is vital.
The Weddings &Events Co-Ordinator will use Rez Control for all bookings, keeping accurate and up to date records and creating written confirmations & function sheets to ensure that all details are correct for a successful event.
This role will give the Weddings &Events Co-Ordinator the opportunity to work closely with the General Manager and Director of Revenue to grow the business whilst delivering memorable experiences and having a real impact on the business.
This role is ideal for someone who has great communication, time management and an eye for detail. Ideally the candidate will have demonstratable experience working in events or other similar hospitality areas.
Job Overview:
The Weddings and Events Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of meetings, conferences, weddings and events held at the hotel. This includes working directly with clients to understand their needs, providing event planning support, and ensuring seamless execution of all events. The coordinator will handle inquiries, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure that events meet both the client’s expectations and the hotel’s service standards. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build relationships with both clients and internal teams.
Experience & Qualifications

Strong organisational skills, strong numeric skills, and a good understanding of figures.

Self-motivated and proactive approach.

Strong communication skills and professional telephone manner.

Previous experience in a similar role or an operational Events role.

Experience of a PMS such as RezControl or Opera.
