Job description:
We are seeking kind, compassionate and reliable Support Workers to join our established and caring team in Chelmsford.
We currently have vacancies for three different clients in their own homes and within the community. Applicants may apply for one or express an interest in covering more than one client where their availability and suitability allow.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for regular part-time work or additional hours across our Chelmsford services.
Available working patterns
Working Pattern 1:
Salary: £17,436.90 per annum
Hours: 25.5 paid hours per week, including every other weekend
Long days available: 8:30am–10:15pm
- Week 1: Tuesday and Thursday
- Week 2: Tuesday and Saturday
A valid UK driving licence is required for this client who has a wheelchair access vehicle.
Working Pattern 2:
Salary: £8,205.60 per annum
Hours: 12 hours per week across three days - 4 hour shifts to be confirmed
Days will be spread between Monday and Sunday and confirmed with the successful applicant.
A driver with appropriate business-use motor insurance is required for this working pattern.
Working Pattern 3:
Salary: £7,179.90 per annum
Hours: 10.5 hours per week
- Monday: 10:00am–3:00pm
- Wednesday: 12:00pm–5:30pm

About the role
The people we support have different personalities, interests and individual needs. These roles may involve supporting someone with cerebral palsy, visual impairment, mobility needs or day-to-day activities.
Depending on the client and working pattern, your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting with personal care and mobility
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Helping with meal preparation and light household tasks
- Supporting clients to attend appointments
- Ensuring clients feel safe at home and in the community
- Supporting community activities and social outings
- Accompanying clients to activities such as walking, boxing, horse riding, concerts and theatre trips
- Encouraging independence, choice and confidence
- Building positive and respectful working relationships
- Maintaining accurate care records and reporting any concerns
- Promoting a safe, inclusive and supportive environment
