Role Summary
Looking for a part-time role that offers flexibility, variety and the opportunity to become part of a friendly creative team?
We're looking for an experienced Bookkeeper & Administrator to join Starbots Creative for around 17-20 hours per week.
This role would particularly suit someone returning to work, looking for school-hours employment, or seeking a part-time role that offers flexibility without compromising on responsibility.
You'll take ownership of our day-to-day bookkeeping while supporting the smooth running of our busy agency. If you're organised, proactive and enjoy helping a small business stay on top of its finances and administration, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
1) Bookkeeping & Finance Administration
- Maintain accurate day-to-day bookkeeping using Xero.
- Raise sales invoices and process supplier invoices.
- Reconcile bank transactions and ensure financial records are accurate and up to date.
- Manage credit control and follow up outstanding payments professionally.
- Process employee expenses and maintain organised financial records.
- Ensure financial information is accurate and ready for review by our accountant.
- Liaise with our accountant and payroll provider as required.
2) Administration
- Prepare client quotes once scope, pricing and timescales have been agreed.
- Keep Scoro and internal business records accurate and up to date.
- Support the directors with day-to-day administration.
- Manage purchase orders, supplier paperwork and general business administration.
- Answer general enquiries and help keep the office running smoothly.
- Order office supplies and support the day-to-day organisation of the studio.
3) Team Support
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to keep information organised and accessible.
- Help improve the efficiency of day-to-day administrative processes.
- Take ownership of tasks that help the wider team focus on delivering great work for our clients.
Skills and experience
We're looking for someone who has:
· Previous experience in a bookkeeping, finance administration or accounts role.
· Experience using Xero or similar accounting software.
· Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
· Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
· The ability to manage their own workload and prioritise effectively.
· A professional and discreet approach when handling confidential information.
· Experience working within a small business would be an advantage but isn't essential.
