Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will ideally have experience as a Weighbridge Operator (although training will be given to the right candidate). The Weighbridge Operator will be responsible for the accurate weighing of incoming and outgoing vehicles and materials. This role involves working closely with the logistics and operations team to ensure that all materials are accurately recorded and tracked.

Key Responsibilities:
· Operate weighbridge equipment and ensure that all vehicles are weighed accurately.
· Record and document the weight of incoming and outgoing materials.
· Verify and cross check the weight of the load against ticket to ensure accuracy.
· Ensure that all vehicles are safely and efficiently directed to and from the weighbridge area.
· Communicate with drivers and other staff members to ensure that all documentation is in order and all necessary information for delivery is provided.
· Maintain and update records of all tickets and ensure that they are stored securely.
· Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the weighbridge equipment to ensure that it is operating correctly.
· Identify and report any issues or problems with the weighbridge equipment to management.
· Follow all health and safety procedures and ensure that everyone on site is following health and safety laws and procedures.
· Other duties as assigned by management.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Previous experience working in a quarry / transport environment preferred but not essential.
· Previous experience as a weighbridge operator preferred but not essential.
· Knowledge of health and safety procedures within a quarry
· Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with drivers, logistics personnel, and management.
· Ability to work effectively on own and as part of a team.
· High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
· Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
· Willingness to work flexible hours as required.
· Valid driving license and own transport.
Working Conditions:
The successful candidate will work at our quarry in Fawley. The role may require the individual to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the business. The hours will be 6am to 6pm with one hour (unpaid) for lunch. The candidate will be expected to work one Saturday in three, with these hours paid as overtime.
