Are you an experienced Nursery Manager looking for a new challenge?
Kelloe Phoenix Centre is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and dedicated Nursery Manager to lead our well-established early years provision through an exciting period of transition and growth.
Located within the grounds of Kelloe Primary School, Kelloe Phoenix Centre has built a strong reputation within the local community for providing high-quality childcare and early years education. We currently hold a Good Ofsted rating and are committed to delivering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.
As we develop our provision to focus on children aged 0 to 3 years, whilst continuing to provide wraparound care for primary school children, we are looking for a manager who can lead the setting with confidence, vision, and a passion for early years learning.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
As Nursery Manager, you will:
- Provide strong, inspirational leadership to the nursery team.
- Ensure the highest standards of childcare, learning, and development are maintained.
- Lead on safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the nursery.
- Support, motivate, and develop staff through effective supervision and performance management.
- Maintain positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and external agencies.
- Oversee nursery administration, occupancy, and budget management.
- Ensure compliance with EYFS requirements and Ofsted standards.
- Lead and support the nursery through its transition and future development plans.
- Work collaboratively with Kelloe Primary School to support children's transition into school.
About You
The successful candidate will:
- Have substantial experience managing or leading within an early years setting.
- Hold a relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years (Level 5 or above desirable).
- Have a thorough understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Demonstrate strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Have a sound knowledge of safeguarding and children's welfare requirements.
- Be passionate about delivering outstanding outcomes for children and families.
- Be committed to continuous improvement and staff development.
