The role of cafe assistant is within a fast paced children's play cafe, so the right candidate will be proactive, a team player, able to work under pressure and extremely reliable. There is the potential for this position to become a managerial role. The position is for a full time working 5 days a week 9:30-4:30pm (alternative weekends also required).
It isn't essential to have experience as a Barista but experience managing is.
The right person will need to be confident, happy, able to get on with tasks within minimal direction and gets stuck in as we are a customer facing business.
The daily roles include:
- Serving customers
- making coffees
- preparing and making food
- clearing away the children's toys throughout the day
- clearing tables
- hosting birthday parties
- general cafe duties
- opening and closing of the cafe
