Customer Logistics Coordinator
Location: Glasgow
Reporting To: Group Head of Supply Chain
Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday to Friday
Salary: £37,000 (rising to a maximum of £38,000 inclusive of January 2027 salary review)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Customer Logistics Coordinator to join our Supply Chain team in Glasgow.
This is a pivotal role responsible for coordinating the flow of customer orders through the manufacturing process, ensuring delivery commitments are achieved while maintaining high standards of communication, accuracy and customer satisfaction.
Working closely with Production, Operations, Program Management and Supply Chain teams, you will provide visibility of work-in-progress (WIP), proactively manage priorities, and support the successful delivery of products to customers in the aerospace, defence and advanced manufacturing sectors.
Key Responsibilities - Production & Delivery Coordination
- Expedite customer orders through the manufacturing process to achieve on-time delivery targets.
- Maintain accurate production trackers, Line of Balance reports and scheduling data to support operational decision-making.
- Take ownership of customer work-in-progress (WIP) from pre-launch through to shipment.
- Monitor production progress and proactively identify risks to customer delivery schedules.
- Escalate potential delays promptly and support the implementation of recovery plans.
Stakeholder Communication
- Act as a key liaison between Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain and Program Management teams.
- Provide timely and accurate updates on production progress and delivery status.
- Support Program Managers by supplying relevant production and delivery information for customer communications.
- Participate in customer, operational and commercial review meetings as required.
Operational Support & Data Management
- Support daily and weekly production review meetings by providing status updates and highlighting priorities.
- Maintain accurate WIP records and associated sales order information within the Factory Master ERP system.
- Ensure all delivery documentation is completed accurately and available in line with shipping requirements.
- Coordinate documentation and logistics activities across company sites where required.
- Monitor the effectiveness and accuracy of packaging and labelling processes to ensure products reach customers correctly and on time.
Continuous Improvement & Reporting
- Track and report key customer performance metrics, including on-time delivery performance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and support action plans to address performance issues and improve customer service levels.
- Drive a culture of accountability, accuracy and customer focus throughout the order fulfilment process.

Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in a Customer Service, Production Coordination, Logistics Coordination or Operations Administration role within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing work-in-progress (WIP) and delivery schedules.
- Strong administrative and data management skills.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Ability to interpret production information and communicate effectively across operational teams.
Desirable
- Experience within the aerospace, defence, engineering or precision manufacturing sectors.
- Understanding of manufacturing planning and production control processes.
- Experience supporting performance reporting and continuous improvement activities.

Working Hours
- Day Shift.
- Monday to Thursday: 8.5 hours per day.
- Friday: 6 hours per day.
- Total: 40 hours per week.
